Referees Wanted
As you are all aware there is a shortage of referees to run games each weekend. This is due to a number of reasons including unavailability, illness, dwindling numbers, Covid etc. The Referees Association is doing their best to appoint centres and assistants to as many games as they can possibly cover. However, this is becoming increasing difficult.
The Referees Association is urgently calling for senior players to step up and do the referees course. Even if you could only do one game each fortnight this would help out immensely and make sure that all games are covered.
It would be great if players who have previously been referees would consider undertaking the course and update their credentials. Players who have thought about undertaking the referees course but have never committed – this is your opportunity.
