Waratah Women undefeated in a smashing weekend

Waratah Blues played Kinross at Jack Brabham scoring 16 goals to nil.

The game was played in good spirit and it was Kinross’ first game of the season.

Kinross put up a great fight and showed plenty of skills but were outplayed by Waratah players who have been playing for some time. Most goals were scored in the first half.

Thank you to Sarah-Grace for stepping into the role of goal keeper for the game.

Goal scorers were Jade Armstrong, Ash Fiene, Emily Sammut, Ella Turner and Phoebe Wilson.

Ella Turner scored a goal and was voted Players/Player. Congratulations Ella.

Thank you to Bronwyn Turner for her professional photography skills.

The Waratah White also played against the under 16 rep team at Jack Brabham.

This game was also played in good spirit with Sarah-Grace and Ella Turner putting their hands up to play with the rep team. Ash Fiene also backed up for this game.

The score, Waratahs 8 - Under 16 Rep Nil.

Again the score is not a reflection of the game.

Goal scorers were Heidi, Meredith, Jemima and Tyarna.

Meredith Cahill was voted Players/Player. Congratulations Meredith.

I would like to thank Scott and Charli for all that they are doing as coaches of our two teams. They are doing an awesome job. Without the dedication of our volunteers we cannot continue to thrive.

I would also like to thank all our spectators, we are attracting a lot of interest in the women’s games which is very much appreciated.

I would like to remind everyone that the Hypnotist is coming up on Saturday 28 May 2022. Whilst you may not be interested you may have family, friends, neighbours etc who may be. We had the Hypnotist here a few years ago and it was a great night full or fun and laughter.

On another note, there are still numbers available in the $100.00 Club. This is our fund raiser for the year. For a cost of $3.00 per week you could win $100.00. Please contact a Committee member if you require further information.
